So universities don't want us all now?
According to public chit chat, The times and now my dad, universities are cutting back on spaces for this years entry. To be precise some 300,00 places!
Forgive me if I'm over reacting here but WTF? As a mature student, without a-levels, attempting to complete an access year Im not feeling too confident right about now.
UCAS have reported a 20% jump in applications for September meaning that for every space in the U.K there are 1.5 brats just like me after it. Well I want mine, goodness knows I've been working for it. And when your willing to pay the demanded, extortionate fees, well I say I have every right to be there.
Goodness knows if I don't get in..... what on this earth would I do?

One Day
as much as I do love fashion and everything that's intended to be enjoyed by a 22 year old young "lady", I do enjoy a spot of interior admiration. I've always said where ever I live when I'm older and can actually afford my own house.. I would love to have a little library. Filled with novels, art, journals of my own and any books I will come across at university. I'd love it to have a huge, slightly destroyed, sigh and sink into antique chair Thursday, 21 January 2010
wolfpack.
When I was one-and-twentyby A.E. Housman |
When I was one-and-twenty
I heard a wise man say,
‘Give crowns and pounds and guineas
But not your heart away;
Give pearls away and rubies
But keep your fancy free.’
But I was one-and-twenty,
No use to talk to me.
When I was one-and-twenty
I heard him say again,
‘The heart out of the bosom
Was never given in vain;
’Tis paid with sighs a plenty
And sold for endless rue.’
And I am two-and-twenty,
And oh, ’tis true, ’tis true.
